Dumplings
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups Flour
- 1 tablespoon Crisco
- 1 3/4 tablespoon Baking Powder
- 1 pinch Salt
- ~3/4 cup COLD Water
- 2 quarts chicken broth
Instructions
- cut Crisco into flour
- add water to pie dough consistency
- cut into squares
- drop into boiling broth at bubbles
- simmer for 1 hour with lid on

- 2 tbsp Crisco
- 1 tbsp + 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- Water to soften dough (~1/2 cup)
Cook in heavy pot, 3/4 full of liquid (chicken broth) low heat, ~ 1 hour
